2.8 mtx to a 5.7 will the mtx take it

Basically, i have a 1985 Camaro, and will be swapping a 350 into it... will the tranmsission (manual) be able to handle the power, and or bolt up???

it will bolt up but probably destroy itself shortly after the swap
