Default 1st project car, F-body question

Starting my first project car 88 iroc. I have one in mind have to go check it out n pick it up if its solid. Don't really know my way around the F body. Wanted to know if there are any problem areas for rust I should pay special attention to. Shell looks good from the pics I've seen. is there any thing I can look for to tell if its twisted or tweeked at all? Visual Symptoms of twisted body? Any tips for body work bondo, glass. besides a magnet. Really any tips would be helpful. Thanks. I will keep updates on the build once I get the canidate.Ru

I would say just go through some of the threads on here first and see if there is something that would cover what you are looking to do, if not, then ask a more specific question. One thing though, is to keep in mind these cars are a dime a dozen, so if the one you look at today isn't quite right, the one you'll see tomorrow might be.

Price is good 650. But I could be biting off to much. Its a rolling chassis. no motor, trans, no glass<--- also is a t-top. tbh I don't know what to look for on the body if its beyond repair, body work wise. Ive done builds and paint but never a total restore. only a ltlittle surface rust on the center rail for the t tops.

I would look for a complete car, even if it didn't run, that way you have all the parts.

650 for a roller, ouch. you can easily get a running v8 car thats solid for around $1000-$1500. i would steer clear of it
