Nice car man, hey if you could guess, how much more would it run me to stroke my 350 opposed to a regular (performance) rebuild?

There is the first 383 stroker kit that came up at Summit. You will need a 350 block with the kit and you will have a Short block assembly.

Say a grand for the Stroker kit. I would recommend getting a set of 305 heads if you dont want to spend the money on a aftermarket set of heads. The 305 heads have a smaller combustion chamber than set of 350 which will increase your compression which will cause more HP. but it will also cause for you to run a better grade of gas like Premium which has a 93 ocatane. I would recommend the Edelbrock Torker 2 intake http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Real good intake for not alot of money. I would go with a 700-750 holley or Demon carb which will run ya probably 300bucks.

Stroker kit-1000- http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Heads- look on ebay- 100 for heads-Machine work-200
Intake-100
Cam- http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Run you close to 200
Rocker Arms- Would recommend a set of Roller rockers with a 1.5 ratio- http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku - close to 300

Here is another set of Roller Rockers- http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

What ever you do DO NOT buy the SUMMIT Roller rockers, you will end up dropin a valve with those.

Probably have almost 2000 in the motor with machine work to the block, and puttin the pistons and rods together.

hope this might give you an idea. Its all how deep your pocket is!

Thanks alot man, my pockets are kinda limited right now, but thats why its called a project. i'm not gonna build a stroker this time. I got a 355 gonna make into hopefully a pretty strong motor. I'm only 17 so i don't have to go nuts on this car. Hoping to run like a high 12 but im not getting my hopes up. 355, edel. cam 488/510 lift, TH350, 4:10 gear is all i'v got so far so i still got a ways to go.

Flyin, thats a nice, nice car you got there. Good work on it. I think I'm going to be purchasing a GM motor, seen here, http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=10763 , and the appropriate parts to have it supercharged. New rear end and tranny, clutch, short throw shifter, etc. Basicly alot of hypo parts. Now that I have my engine picked out, what are some good companies for other parts, like what I mentioned above.

thanks alot for the compliments, took me a long time and alot of money to get it that way but it was VERY WELL spent, these cars are a blast!

If you plan on supercharging a motor and you plan on buying a motor from Jegs or summit i would recommend calling them and talking to them to see if they will have a Long Block(which is pretty much whats in the picture) that will fit your needs for a supercharger. If you get that motor you will end up having to get a different intake. So i would recommend calling them and talking to them for a bit, but make sure and have a list of what you would like to have.

for shifters i like B&M, but its all up to what you would like. hope this helps some

that helped a bit yeah. didn't realized that a long block could be better for supercharging. My ideas and long term goals for the car is to take american muscle and put some import love into the body and interior. I would like to show that a domestic can have an import twist put on it. As for the shifter I want a short throw because the current shift length right now is about 4-5 inches I would say, I can go from about a 80% extended arm to my arm being bent to a right angle. I know its not a huge deal but anything to save time when shifting right.

call up the guys at summit and jegs, see what they got that will handle a supercharger, think that would be the best thing to do before you start buying stuff
