Does anyone know what the R6V code means on a 1991 Camaro. I know it was used as the FIREHAWK option for the new model TransAm. I am currently just puzzled as to what the code means for a third gen camaro.

Are you sure its upgraded susp? Cause the RPO codes that i have say everything except rear susp was computer selected, and is just a basic SUSP.

RPO : FE1-SUSPENSION SYSTEM, SOFT RIDE
RPO : 6XS-SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, FRONT, LEFT HAND
RPO : 7XS-SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, FRONT, RIGHT HAND
RPO : 8UY-SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, REAR, LEFT HAND
RPO : 9UY-SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, REAR, RIGHT HAND
RPO : Y86-MERCHANDISED PKG, CAMARO RS

This is all i can find that can or could related to SUSP codes. All others are interior/exterior packages,engine,drivetrain. The R6V is just not listed anywhere on the internet from what research i have done.

 

I agree with the above info. R6V is not a vaild GM RPO option.

 

It is an actual GM RPO code. other wise my sticker would not have the code on there. I just don't understand what it would be for on a 1991 camaro.

 

Well you must be reading it wrong. GM has NO listing for that RPO and I am not the only one here that checked.

 

R6V isn't an option code, it's a GM control number (for their own internal use). And no, I don't know what the number stands for beyond that point. GM RPO Code Lookup

 

I just know its on the RPO sticker. But i will take the answer that it is a GM control number. I just made me waunder since the R6V stood for FIREHAWK package on the firebird transams 93 and up. Anyways I can say that this thread is closed would you not?
