1987 Iroc w/ 350 looking for more power..
I just purchased a 1987 Camaro Iroc Z28 that originally had a 305 however the owner had a Chevrolet Dealership install a GM 350 Crate Engine. I was just wondering what I can do to get some nice power. I am looking to get the most bang for the buck. i am looking to spend about 1,000 to start off with. Now I know the engine was upgraded to the 350 and I know that when they did the engine they installed some kind of 3" High Performance Exhaust system and a Holley throttle body. Below is a couple of pics of the engine bay. I think right now the engine has about 40k on it, maybe a little less. Again I am not trying to be cheap but I don't have a fortune to spend on the car. As-is the car def. needs a belt for the AC, maybe a whole new AC unit but other than that the car runs and drives great. I might look into sway bars and shocks or whatever to upgrade from what is in there.. Let me know what you guys think.

Do companys still do that with the older car? That used to be the only way to "tune" the old OBD1 systems. Is there a way to add some hardwareto makethese cars tune-able? I sorry I have not really kept up to date.
I have installed hyper chips. You just replace the Prom and adjust the base timing. I know they used to sell kits with levels. Level one was chip and ajustments. Level two was exhaust air cleaner and chip/adjustments. Level three was chip, throttle body, cam, ect....
