Ok I think I ave it figured out. It worked better spinning the driveshaft, it spun 2 3/4 turns for 1 turn of the tire. I guess that would be a 2.73 gear . Now something I noticed when I was doing this, If I spun the tire the driveshaft didnt turn sometimes. It didnt happen like that when I spun the driveshaft the tire turned everytime I turned the drive shaft. I'm going to take a few pictures of my car and post them (remember it isnt pretty but she solid).

That's why I said it would be more accurate spinning the driveshaft instead. Spinning one wheel with an open diff while having both wheels off the ground will turn the other wheel in the opposite direction. The driveshaft will turn too, but not at a consistant rate due to having some resistance of its own. If it was a "posi" rearend, both wheels would turn in the same direction, and the driveshaft would also spin consistantly.

...and keeping one wheel on the ground will multiply the ratio through the spiders. if you have an accurate tach and speedo, the easiest way is to keep it in third gear, drive at 60 mph, and read your rpms. they will give you the rear ratio in the rpms, given the tires are near stock size.
