I have read alot about the second gen Bill Mitchell Concept hugger camaros but i havent found any information on him building out any 3rd Gen Camaros. The only reason that i know that Bill Mitchell did build one is because i have one along with 30+ years of documentation between my wifes grandfather and Bill Mitchell as it went back for yearly tuning and maintenence from the time it was built in 1982 through 2009. My wifes grandfather passed a few years back and when the family went to sell the car for the street value of an 82 camaro i stepped in and offered to buy it because i knew it was something special. Her grandfather was a race car driver but mostly raced exotics, and this car was never built as a race car. He also had a 1980 Malibu that he had Bill Mitchell Build out as a daily driver that he would even use to tow his race cars with. The story is that Don Arlow (designer of Ciggarette, scarab, and formula speed boats) had ordered this car from cheverolet to be built out by BMC, but prior to delivery he lost his licence for 3 years. My wifes grandfather heard about this while at BMC getting work done on the Malibu and offered to buy it. He ended up paying $11,068 for the car and an additional $11,115 for Bill Michell to customize it before taking delivery of it. After that he regulary worked with Bill Mitchell on a yearly basis to have the car tuned, trying new transitions and suspension components. Having said that, this was an old ball in his fleet of cars which were mostly european with the exception of the malibu, so it never got a lot of use. It only has 40K miles on it and is in mint condition.

I am really curious if anyone knows about another 3rd gen Bill Mitchell Concept Camaro in existance.
