Default Wheel fitment

Hi everyone. I have an 81 z28 and its sitting on some off brand wheels im looking to get rid of. I was wondering if id be able to fit 17x9's in the rear and 17x8 in the front. Im looking to keep the tires to a 255/45/17 (on 17x9) in the rear and a 235/45/17 (17x8) in the front. However, my concern is fitment as my car is slightly lowered. The car currently has 235/50/16 in the front and im just afraid it wont fit in the front.. Can anyone provide some insight?

They should fit fine as long as backspace is correct, around 4.5",if lowered to about 13" from hub to fender lip,you may catch a little rub on outside of front tire on inner fender.
