Yet another carb question

Cars a 79 Z28...

Carb has an accelerator pump issue so thinking about replacing the whole unit ..

355 cu in
comp cams xe274 -- .490 lift split duration 230/236
Performer RPM intake
Aluminum heads -- 2.02/160 valves 200 cc runners -- springs set up for .525 lift
65K HEI with Accel ECU
1 5/8 headman headers
turbo 350 with B&M Holeshot Converter (2400 rpm)
3.42 gears

Currently has an Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm carb .. this is a fuel saving carb (not what i am looking for) ..

Thinking I need something in the 650 --750 range with vac secondaries .. Is 750 to big or should I look for a 650???

Thoughts ???

Also any speculation on HP/Torque in this setup ????

Looking forward to your advice ..

If you're looking for a carb with good lowend and midrange response, then the vacuum secondary carb is a great choice. I like to go smaller usually, but the way your engine is set up a 750 wouldn't over carb the engine if it's vacuum secondary. A 650 would work, but not sure how high rpm response would be.

Thanks for the feedback .. I was leaning towards the 650 myself .. sometime you just have to bounce things off other people for their thoughts :)
