I'm a little surprised nobody got back to you on this. I just replaced the timing chain on my '71, let me say "I know very little about cars", aside from that I had some help from my uncle, who knows a lot more than I do. He said definitely go with the double roller, so I did. The difference is hard to put into words exactly, other than its literally two chains instead of just one. I'm guessing by now you've gone to the auto parts store and looked at the difference. From what I understand the double roller is much stronger and will last longer.
