Went over to my friend house tonight decided to drive my car and its running awsome...it starts raining when I'm there,and on the way home my car is all over the road Ive noticed this before when the roads are wet.so what could be causing this???? I'm really hating it : (.i have to drive my car like a gray mobil or it starts taking off to the left or right all by its self ..its like I'm on roller skates or hydroplaning ..please help so i can get this fixed because it scares the h** out of me...

(REMEMBER IT ONLY DOES THIS ON WET ROADS)

 

Simple, don't put the pedal to the metal when it'sraining, and wear lighter shoes.
How do your tires look, are the treads worn down to resemble slicks? Or it could be that your tires just don't handle rain well. And when the roads are dry, grime, oil, tire rubber etc. gets embedded into the pavement. Thenthe first rainmakes the roads slicker than ****e.

 

u may need better rubber, and you may need to control your foot a little .

yeah, those first rains can be a Biz-Nitch... Learned first hand to moderately lower my foot on the gas.... my car spun out on me after it rained here in So. Cal... Never again(knock on wood)will I allow that... but yeahgo easyon the gas and check the meat on ur tires....

 

Thanks for all the help i will keep that inmind(MY lead foot lol )AND I WILL BE GETTING NEW TIRES WITH THE RIMS EVEN THOW I THINK MY TIRES ARE PRETTY GOOD THEY JUST GOT PUT ON LAST SUMMER..

plus its still dont make sense that it floats to the left or right unexpectedly hummmmmmmmm if its just the tire that would be nice

 

How wide are your fronttires? The wider they are, the more they'll pull one direction or the other. Depends on a lot of things, it could be that the road has a larger depression on one side so the water is slightly deeper on that side. It also helps to get tires designed for wet weather, some are dry road only and suck in the rain.

 

It also depends on what type of rearend you have...an open differential or a posi/limited slip. On slick pavement with an open diff., the right rear tire will break free and spin. With a posi, both tires can break free and the rear of the car will want to pass up the front.
