Default 74 Return Fuel line

I have a 74 Camaro and I am putting in a crate 383, it has a highflow fuel pump with no return line hookup, can I just cap off the return line at the tank?

Thanks

Are you talking about an electric or mechanical pump? If you're running a carb with a high flow pump, you'll also want to run a fuel pressure regulator to adjust the psi to the carb. Use a return style regulator and hook it up to your return line. The pump will last longer because the fuel will be flowing at a consistent rate that way. Dead-head type fuel setups tend to burn out the electric pump sooner, or wear out a mechanical one sooner. Set pressure at 4.5 psi if an Edelbrock carb, and 6 psi if a Holley.
