Default 74 Camaro engine swap

I hope I don't offend the Bowtie crowd, but I am putting a 1967 Pontiac 326 motor into my 1974 Camaro, replacing the original 6 cylinder engine. I am having a little trouble with the engine mounts and frame brackets and was wondering if anyone has made this swap and may be able to provide some advice. It appears that the 326 mounts and frame brackets my work, but they do not line up with any of the frame mounting holes. Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I put a Olds 350 in a Monte Carlo once. I had to cut the metal motor mounts out of of the doner car and weld them into the Monte. You have to be 100% sure everything is straight and sitting at the right angles. I bolted the cut off mounts to the motor, sit the motor in the Monte check and double checked it was sitting where is should be then I tacked the mounts into place. I then removed the motor and welded the mounts in solid. It sounds like a lot of work but it only took about 4 hours. If I was better are welding it would have been faster.

Do you know if the Pontiac trans will work with the stock cross member?

Have you checked into Firebird engine mounts yet? The 74 Camaro and Firebird subframes are interchangeable.
