By the time you buy Vortec heads and have them rebuilt, modified and new springs, you might as well get new heads complete. Another less expensive option to the $1500 AFR heads is a pair of Edelbrock E street heads. Not quite on par with the AFR, but nearly $600 less money too. They are 185cc runners, and 64cc chambers, so it will give you a little more compression. They're good to .550" lift.

Hey sorry about the lack of updates. Ive had a little going. I ended up trading my 1980 Camaro for a 1968 Firebird. I am still building the 350 that i picked up from the junkyard a long time ago. I finally got it torn down this past week. I have been doing more work on the 68 body than anything. it came on a rotisserie and Im trying to get it atleast to a roller stage. got my steel in for the tubs today. The engine is really on the back burner until i get a bunch of stuff done. But I will try to remember to update this when I build it. With all the other stuff i need to get done on this car I may just throw it in make my exhaust and wait on the engine build.
