iam trying to find a new one because i am thinking i might have bent the thing trying to pull it off the engine without realizing the were bolts that come up through the bottom of the oil pan

I'd just take the old one down to your local parts house and get a new chrome one. They're really cheap and they can match it to your old one. Be sure to pull your pan when changing the timing cover! You'll just bend up the new one trying to get the pan seal lower part in place.

Looks like they went away Joe! I figured there was something missing there, as it's not like you to be mean spirited.

Aggravating? It's impossible to change without removing the waterpump! I hope you're not rying to take it off with the water pump in place!!??

well crazy enough i got it to finally go back on and didn't have to remove the pan or water pump

used one minute gasket on the timing cover side on both the pan rail and paper section
i cut the small rubber tabs on the oil pan rail off added a dab of sealant to the corner
leaned the top in and kina Slid the bottom into place with a small piece of aluminum and some Very careful soft vice grip work just enough to kina push the cover flat to the block and installed the screws from underneath

then just put the bolts back on the front
