Default Monojet: Idles, Accellerator pump pumps. Dies.

Just purchased Rochester Monojet 3-357 Reman. Idles great. With no load it goes to full throttle looks and sounds great. Wing it out no problem. Under load it dies immediately. If you can get it moving (manual 3-speed) the accelerator pump is the only thing that keeps it going by pumping the gas. It makes it undrivable. The float is 1/4". It looks spotless inside. It's a new Reman carb I just bought. (https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...m_content=ITEM)
I don't want to rebuild the whole thing if I don't have to. Is anyone familiar with this problem?

I’m looking this Monojet over. The float is not connected to needle. The float just rests on the needle. Is that normal on these? Does fuel just force its way by?
