Hello, i have a stock 1981 camaro that is in very good shape, it has the 3.8 v6 in it, but is rebuilt and has an aftermarket cam. i was wondering if there is any way i could turbo charge this.

 

You could but the bottom end would really limit the amount of boost you could used. You could easly dump $2500 in a turbo kit and still be under 250 HP. The 3.8 didn't really grow a pair till the mid 80s with the redesign for the Buick GN turbo. Even that was factory 240 HP I think they would hold up to some tweaking that made them the cult car they are today.
Would not make a lot of sence to put that kind of money in to a engine that would be just waiting to blow up. For just under 2K you can get a 290HP GM crate motor with a bunch more torquethat push that hvy car around all day long.
