Ive never done a transmission swap before and I really need help with this. I have a 1975 camaro that has a blown trans. I picked up a new 350 turbo today for a hell of a good price. I basically need to be told how to do it step by step, especially disconnecting the driveshaft from the old trans.

 

driveshaft is easy to diconnect, just undo it from the rear u-joint which is like 4 bolts and then it just slides out of the tail piece of the tranny!

 

Check out Youtube for how too video. Make sure you also search how to installing a torque converter. It is the most common newbe mistake and it will wipe out the trans.
