Default Th350 automatic trans.. Help need pics!

Hello every1,

Bought a builder 75 Camaro pretty cheap and had to bring it home on trailer. This is what I know about it: 350 SB, 4 bbl auto tranny. As far as I can tell the motors been swapped but dunno about tranny. Hand spun the motor crank so its not locked up. Trying to put shifter rod-linkage back together under car. Does anyone have some good pics or sources to show how it reconnects? Any help here is greatly appreciated..

Do you mean the cable to the shifter leaver or the 15 pounds of metal that only moves the 2 gram indicator in the dash?

If he has a column shifter, he needs those 15 pounds of metal rods.

Welcome Worrler1, I might be able to help with some pictures as I recently pulled all that stuff out of my car. Not sure if you're asking about the actual shifter linkage that bolts to the trans pan or the column selector linkage that fits in the subframe? My Camaro has a console shifter but the selector is above the column. The "rod" linkage operates the gear selector (above steering wheel not the trans) and is attached to the sleeve on the column. I had disconnected mine as it made the sleeve vibrate while driving and got irritating. There are issues with the reverse lockout (If i'm saying that correctly) being incorporated into that mechanism but I had no issues after disconnecting mine. If you can, let me know what it is you're looking for more specifically and I'll see if I can dig that stuff back out and get some pics for you.

The tranny is a TH350 automatic. Gear shift is on the tunnel and is not hooked up to tranny. Also the kick down cable is not hooked up. Need pics of those things hooked up so I can see what pieces of the puzzle are missing.. Thx

If you start having issues with your key not wanting to turn, lift up the linkage arm on the steering column. With mine disconnected, the arm would periodically drop just a little, enough to lock out the key. So I wired the arm in the up position.

Unfortunately mine is not hooked up right now. The shifter cable is still there and connected to the bracket that mounts on the trans pan. There's not much to it really, would you like me to get a pic or two of that for you?

Appreciate the tip '69 I might just wire it up anyway.
