Default Restore time

So I have a 74 Camaro type LT (original owner) that needs some body restoration. I'm thinking about trying to make it look like a 72 or 73 front.
Any thoughts and what parts would I need?

A 1974 is probably one of the easier of the post '73 Camaros to change the face look on. Your hood and fenders will work fine, and you can use your radiator support, though it may need some brackets or holes drilled into it to support pre '74 parts. You'll need the header panel, lower valance, grille, turn signal housings (complete with lenses) bumper brackets, bumper, hood catch and latch, and of course the wiring will need to be reworked a little.
If you buy all this new, you'll probably be looking at $1,000 or so. Might find a few pieces in good used condition, but early 2nd gen stuff is getting harder and harder to see used.

If the plan is to go split bumper, you'll need many more parts, and double the money! The extra pieces for a split bumper RS front will run you another $1,000.

Default split

Ya it is just a choice, a split bumper has different parts, so choose one of the two 70 1/2 to 73 styles and then you won't be buying parts twice. I looked and the complete all you need front facia and split bumper kit seems to be around $1,700 so the othe kit with marker light bellow the bumper may be a bit less but when changing it all may not make a whole lot of $ difference. Classic Industries offeres both kits, just go online and have a look at their breakdown.

Sure glad to see that's what you're looking for! I'm getting pretty tired of seeing cars that are just full bumper cars with the full bumper removed, and the two split bumpers installed. If a guy wants an RS, or split bumpers, he should do the whole package.
I personally love the look of the car you pictured, and it's full bumper, with under bumper parking lights.
