All rubber seals were replaced along with shocks and a bucket load of nickel and dime misc parts. I found a$100 parts car for a bunch of stuff. In side that car, brand new in boxes were door sills. WINNING!!! and a bunch of small parts I needed.

I eventually found an 18 YO kid who circle track races and he was happy as hell to give me $100 for the remains of the car. He only wanted the outer skin!

So engine build ensues

Alum heads, big cam, exhaust cutouts.air gap. Holley 750. Billet dist.
frame conns, 3200 stall conv. traction bars.

You get the picture!

12.4 on street tires

Kinda not so much fun to drive to the bar or under the radar any time. The car didn't really start to move till 2500 rpm. Always sounded like I was getting on it. And she ran Hot.

Then 1 1/2 years later the paint starts to fail from underneath. Beautiful shiny on the outside. But bubbles appear and what I would call thinner spots if it wasn't so much later. But I keep driving her. I'm aggravated though. Then the radiator leaks at a show 2 weeks ago. and the alt decides to charge at 16 V... not good.
and it always smell like exhaust fumes..you get the pic!

I get aggravated and take it apart. This the start of the rebuild. More of a driver and less track... gonna have a defrost. and hear the radio. And new paint....thinking metalic red with black SS style stripes.. Gonna keep all the trim blacked out. Engine compartmnent will be body color. Don't need add on stuff under the dash. Need a cigarette lighter so I can charge my phone. Lot's of little details.

Tomorrow, updates on how far have come in two weeks and hopefully pics

Steve

Ok I get it! I only have one pic of car together before my old comp crashed. My little old mom is standing in front.

I have pulled off the nose, removed all lights, grills etc. Pulled engine and trans, pulled dash, Dissassembled front suspension, Stripped all tape and covers over old wiring.

Ok so I'm trying to figure how to post from Photobucket, Maybe "go advanced"?

it would appear that all my pic files are too large. I have no idea how to shrink them? any body. they are on photobucket and on my computer. I just can't get them here.
