My 8200 mile 1979 Z28 barn find.

You can say that again, the resemblance is uncanny!
Very nice "barn find". So, how much did you pick it up for, if you don't mind saying?

Thanks for the comments. I know I like to drive them too but want to keep the miles low too. But! I do have alternative transportation.
My 1972 blazer and my 1969 Z28.
I am wondering what to do with the 1979. It does have surface rust but the car is solid and tight. Its been in a Wisconsin barn so no climate control there. It has original everything. Tires, 8 track stereo, exhaust, and I even have the original Delco battery. Do I leave it as is or start doing some paint work? The paint is still shinny but it is 33yars old and they did not make these cars as precise as they do now. You can see the seams where the quaters are joined, factory dust in the paint, etc. Would redoing things take away from the value or do you leave these things alone? Any input would be appreciated.

The new trend is leaving them original as possible. They can only be that way once. As for the seam on the roof/quarter section. That shows on all our cars. It actually shows off the originalness of the 1/4 itself. I would trailer it to shows honestly. Leave the tires on the wheels and then but a set just like them and put new tires on those. Show it with the old rubber, have everyone and their mom congratulate you. Get the most original of show where ever you go award. Yadda yadda yadda. Really dont do anything but clean it. Pics would help for guys who need to know where all those vac lines go. stuff like that.
