I broke a number of those J clips that slide on the edges of stamped steel parts. I got kits that were just those clips from my local Super Chevy store.

My dad has had this Rat in his shed ( in roosevelt lake) for some time he got it to put in his truck then decided against it. the numbers hint at a 74 454 CID with 425HP from the factory I caint wait to see whats in it! was supposedly built and ran 20-30k in a blazer then removed for whatever reason. it will have a proper going thru when we get home... t-5 hrs to departure gotta get some sleep

wow hope its a good one a 454 425 hp would be awesome in that camaro, sometimes i just wish i would have built a big block instead of my 436 sbc would have actually been cheaper in the long run and less hassles.

engine decoded
Im still in az but hittin the road in the am. in the meantime I pulled the engine codes (stamped on machined surfaces in front)engine code is T0219TSL if I decoded it correctly it was built at the Towanda plant on Feb 19, 1977 its a 454 CID with 250Hp original model was a truck vin code S. notes 20,30 so a c20 or 30 puck up? so not what I was thinking as dad got the date code wrong but its still a FREE big block! and we can do what we want with it home will it cleaned up then I'll see what cam / and pistons are in it
