been working on pulling my front clip,got the nose off easily but the bumper inside is giving me helll,the bolts are rusted on hard even broke a wrench trying to get it loose,so the last 2 days i been soaking it in p.b. blaster hope that does it,if not my next step is a torch to heat them and hope they come loose.any tips u might have would be welcome.

Mine came apart easily. On the 78 too, which was a rust bucket. The bar that supports the bumper to frame was even rusted on the bottom.

yeah my 80 camaro came right off too, but this one is being a bear,got the nuts to come loose alright bolt and all,must have broken the welds,ugggh.so now what.im about to give up i dont have many options left.

finally got that nasty bumper off,i was one of the hardest things to remove i ever delt with,had to wedge a screwdriver behind the bolt to keep it from turning,wow that was a challenge,just another road block in my journey,but now its over,i also started sanding my radiator core in perperation for paint,its gonna be painted hammared silver just like my frame will be painted.all the suspension parts will be painted daytona yellow.

Glad to hear you where able to get it removed.

thx olman9 i will post some now but they didnt turn out really good so i will get new ones tonight.

now that i have that nasty bumper off i began sanding down my radiator core its ready for paint,also been repairing that rust hole in my cowl have patch all welded in and coated with glazing putty and filler,also tore out my engine bay wiring harness it was a mess,i got a good one to go in its place.

Bad.... I love your work... I love your car... but Dang... I hate your camera!!! LOL Just messing with you mostly... I envy you guys with Camaros to build... I have to live my dreams watching you guys.... Still looking for a car in my price range that is not being used as a flower planter. I found a freebee car that I walked away from... (the vin code did not match the body... 74 vin on a 75 body)

yeah my camera is kinda crappy doesnt focus worth the beans,sometimes the pictures turn out good,some times not so good,hahahha!!!thx 5time F for the thumbs up i just try to do the best job i can with the skills i have.hope these pictures are a little better,probably not much.but i got my radiator core all painted now.

5time F im praying soon that u find the camaro ur looking for,sooner or later u gotta find one,thats sucks the body didnt match the vin and it was free.then we can watch ur resto cant wait until u get ur project started.
