Seems like a good place to start. Skinny's are fine as long as the car is going straight. I would goose it if I was going over railroad tracks. Trying to get the front to lift and not bend the wheels. Corners were a slow slow affair. AToo easy to roll the tire off the bead, or roll the whole car for that matter.

I wouldn't get too aggressive w/the sand paper. 180 max courseness. Scrubb it first w/lacquer thinner etc before sanding. Did you get all the trim and headlite buckets with this car? Looks like you have a good solid base to work with. I'd clean, treat any minor rust and prime. Then you get to start blocking....YAY,YIPEE!! LOL

I agree 180g on a DA and be patient. I have a ton of paint/clear on mine, I'm saving it for last.

ok thx, yeah it came with all the trim and whatever more parts i need he said to let him know he has 3 camaros he was using for parts cars for this one.ok i will try the 180 grit thx for the tip with laquer thinner that should make it sand easier.yeah block sanding we all love that.im also gonna wash the car really good before i start sanding looks like it hasnt been washed in years if the paint looks ok i might just put it back together and drive it that way for awhile and fix it while i drive it then next winter paint it.or i could just sand it all down to bare metal then throw some epoxy primer on it and drive it this summer not sure yet what im gonna do yet,the guy was mistaken this car dont have air thank god that saved me some work covering it all up,looked up the codes was built in van nuyes, california had a 195hp 350 with a 4speed yah.its a real z28 has rear sway bar 10 bolt posi with 3.73 rear end.
