The improvements you're doing to the interior are great! Amazing to see where you started, and where it's at today! Looks like a completely different car, and really a major step up from before!

I've had new wheels setting in the shop for the camaro waiting for tires. Yesterday I found 2 BFG TA's 255/60/15 almost new for $80 each. So today I got everything mounted up. Although not white letter, I used 2 of the old tires for the front, 225/60/15. I'm really glad to get old wheels off! The difference in tire size fron 225 in front to 255 in back gave me the old school look I wanted.

Wow! Love those wheels, they really look good on there! Like the stance too, just the right rake down on the front!

Over the last week or so I've added my gauges ( Water temp and Oil ), Put them just in front of shifter. Then I rebuilt the carb ( it was really nasty), and then added a fuel filter which it did not have and also a fuel regulator. Wow, what a difference when I started it up and the fuel filter made a difference ( I do have an elec fuel pump). My engine fan had some chips in it so I replaced it with a good flex fan. After resetting carb, it sure runs better. Next on to steering linkage.

Careful of those glass filters! They break easily and have been known to leak and start a fire!

Since I had the trans opened up to fix shifter (posted in another thread), I order a trans go shift kit (350-1-2), and installed it. After test drive I like shift from 2-3 but not sure yet about 1-2 shift. I did not fool with governer or vacuum.

Also pulled diff cover while I had car up to check diff gears (ratio) and just to change oil in it. Boy oil was nasty and not to my surprize, diff is 2.42. So I'll be looking to change that.

Got to switch to working on Jeep for a couple of days and get some things done on it.

Changing that rear gear set will really bring it to life! Those 2.42 gears will make most any engine feel doggy, especially with a automatic. Hard on trannies too, with the higher gears.

My Jeep had 3.07's in it and with 31" tires it was a complete dog. Changed to 4.10 and really brought it alive, I was surprized at the difference. Made me a real believer in gears.

Found a nice set of Black seat belts and changed them out. The belts that I got are from a 76 camaro and are different than my 78. Fronts fit fine and I like them better, but rears a different. The bolt down brackets are different and had to do some cutting and welding.
Blue is 78 and black is 76
