Default Built-in antenna

I'm trying to t/s a old stereo I had in my z28 that I gave to my son. The stereo worked at one time of course. I have suspicion on the new Windshield he got installed. It does have the built-in antenna but wondering how the antenna is wired to the stereo. Sounds stupid but never seen one out of the car.

If memory serves there should be a cable hanging in the dash somewhere connected to the windshield that just plugs in like any other antenna.

Rogerio,

You might save yourself some grief if you connect the stereo to an old-style car radio antenna, and verify that the stereo still works in the car, first.
Just tape the radio antenna onto the windshield glass, away from any metal of the car.
If the stereo does work as it should, then you can deal with the windshield antenna connector.
