78' RS Build in MA - "The Moss-maro"
#293
I used Energy Systems poly bushings, and bought the extra 8 oz. grease that Summit sells for lubing them at install. Also polished the metal inserts prior to installation, and added lots of lube at assembly time. Seems to really work good now, and handles great!

yeah u have to lube them pretty good to get them to fit right, they also say if u freeze them first makes installation easier, never tried that, but they sure do make it handle better, well worth the money.

I got mine from Summit, and they are Energy Suspension. This is the kit I bought for $165 back a couple years ago. It's under $200 still. It doesn't have the bushings for the swaybar mounts, but I bought those separately for under $10 for all 4 at NAPA.

The installation lube isn't for pressing them into the control arms; it's for lubing the friction points on the poly bushings. I used it inside the upper and lower bushings where they pivot on the A arm shaft, and inside the lower bolts and frame points. Also used them on the top and bottom of all the body bushings, and leaf spring bushings.
I've heard what happens when poly bushings are installed dry and they creak and squeak when the arms go up and down. Didn't want that for sure!
