Yes i have to project cars... i'm kinda having second thoughts about this one. If you're interested in purchasing the engine pm me, cause as it is i'm just messing around for the heck of it.

Today i removed the engine, which was a first for me. It was easier than i thought and pretty darn cool.

i have one question...where do i mount the engine stand to it??? i've got detailed pictures at the end, would someone point that out for me?

After removing the manifold intake, carb and distributor.

Where are you located? I'm in need of an engine.

You mount the engine to the stand at the bellhousing end. I usually use the outter 4 bolt holes above and below the alignment pins.

Also, just fyi, you can usually pull the rotating pin and handle out of the stand and pull the mount from the stand. That way you can mount it to the back of the engine and then just slide it back into the stand using the engine lift. It's a lot easier than trying to line up the bolt holes with the engine hanging from the lift and the stand all together.

I usually mount mine to the bottom two and the top two holes to centralize the weight over a bit more area but that's just me.

I can't believe you got the engine out without removing the radiator. I would've been worried about jabbing the engine through the rails.

actually, about halfway through it i was like, "Hmm, i think the radiator needs to be removed" so i stopped and removed it.

If the engine is complete with heads it balances better using Kyphur and Joe's method. Big blocks can be awfully top heavy, so I do that way when the heads are on, but my way with just a long block.
