70 camaro exhaust
hey fellas. I was just thinking about what kind of exhaust i should strap to my 70 camaro. ive been toying with the idea of full blown side pipes, but im afraid if i dont tuck them in good enough theyll look out of place and also cause a clearance issue. i was also thinking kicking out the tips in front of the rear wheels but i was planning on throwing on some traction bars as well, which looks like it would get in the way. any way i just want to hear some ideas. maybe you could post some pictures of some interesting exhausts. im looking for something that will stand out. i also have my heart set an some glass packs if that helps.

I went with Magnaflows. I was going to do the transverse like shown but I'm not dishing out 700 on my exhaust. 500 was bad enough. Flowmasters are getting old for me, that was the reason behind not using them. I want my car quiet.
If you can get your hands on a set of original Hooker side pipes PN 2232. Then your clearance issues are solved. The problem is they went out of production years ago for our cars but the fit is spot on. When you do find them expect to pay 800+.

OH I would hate those on speed bumps but they look so darned cool... I have always hated mashing mufflers when they are installed under the rear seat rather then where GM shoved them from the factory... I bet you could use a set of glass packs back there but would need to weld them into a unit to hang them. I also wonder about the 68-69 chambered exhaust system fitted to one of our body styles.. that would sound nice too...
