Southern Polyurethane Inc. They sell to some small suppliers but they also sell direct. Google them. Its 120ish for a gallon of primer and a gallon of activator. It mixes 1:1 so you have two sprayable gallons. More than enough to do every inch of the car.
No it does not thin with acetone. That is for rustoleme. I mix mine about 1/4 cup (paint cup) to the rest paint. |

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I am about finished replacing my floor pans and firewall repair and want to put a good rust preventative down before the heat/soundproofing materials. Will the Rustoleum work for that? What ratio acetone to paint works best?
Attachment 17480 When spraying Rustoleum I thin it 50% acetone, and if you want to increase drying time add some Japan Drier. About an teaspoon to a quart will speed up drying time enough, but still allow plenty of time to spray. But if time is not an issue, the drier isn't neccessary. |
Thanks for the tips guys. I think I'm going to save for the powder coating on the frame. I think it will look good. Progress has been very little as I'm still trying to fix the rust on the frame mounts. I have had other things come up that I have had to do. Hopefully be back at the camaro some more this week.
