Arm rest, not handle. My 1980 Z back in the mid 80's had this same problem. My new to me 80 Z has the same problem. The driver inside door arm rest pulled loose from the front screw. The previous owner tried as I did back in the 80's to repair it without success. Do you have any tips/tricks to get that front handle to hold? Or do I need to find a new replacement?

 

There are kits for those,Its more or less a sleeve that fits in the hole.Or you can put a "riv nut" that fits in the hole as well.

 

Thanks for the tip. I looked up that repair kit and fabricated one similar. Works well for now.
