Default 1978 complete dashboard in an 1980?

I am definitely a rookie but I just bought an 80 camaro that lacks the entire dash. I found a guy who is partingout his 78'. I know the dashboard looks different but will it fit okay?

Most of the resto kits I've seen go up to 78. They do look different, but I feel they should be close. If the other guy already has his out, you could do the same and see before you hand over any cash.

Well like I said I am missing the entire dash in my 80' down to like metal pieces which I assume the dash bolts into. I talked to the guy with the 78' and he said it would look different than the stock 1980 dash but would bolt in. He said if I came and dissembled the dash I could get that and the center console for only $100. That is why I am jumping on this. I am just wondering if they will indeed bolt in fine and fit in the car fine.

destroyer,

if you don't need the dash out of that 78 I am restoring a 78 and could use it. Let me know if you wish to part with it.
