Hey guys! I am wanting to surprise my husband on his 30th birthday with a 78 Camaro, but need some tips/pointers on things to look for when I am searching for one. Do you think finding one for $2-3K is feasible? It does not have to be perfect---he wants an old car to fix up. Running would be great and t-tops is a plus! Also, where could I look for one? I've tried eBay and Craigslist.....is there anywhere else? Any suggestions/comments welcome! Please help......thanks!!!

 

See if you cant find a copy of wanted ad digest, I believe it's called. I picked one up at a gas station and it had a bunch of camaros for sale in it. The only other things I would suggest would be craigslist, ebay motors, or looking locally.

 

I've got a 79 for sale. Car is in primer, interior is driver quality, 350 engine, new intake and holly carb, new headers, accel distributor, tranny just rebuild, new tires. 3,000 dollars firm.
