is this worth the time? quite possibly the most rusty camaro ever!
hello everyone i just moved into a new house and the previous owner left me a 1970.5 camaro. i have always had a thing for second gens but im not sure if she is salvagable. i will post pics tomorrow for now all i have is a discription. here is the list of the basics she needs to be engine worthy. new floor and trunk pans, left and right hand full rear panel skins, new door hinges, new firewall, and the inner door jams are about gone as will pretty much all that u cant punch through is the roof hood and front fenders. she was a factory ss at one point but now she is hunk of rust. the rear window will barely even sit on the body with out falling through lol.

I live in Michigan chief we see those cars driving down the road. No emissions or tests of anykind. If the rear frame is gone which it probably is I hope you got a fat bank account and a nice welder.

the frame seems solid she was running and rust free 12 years ago. my friends uncle had her and when he died she sat in a field for all of 12 years before his grandparents would let him take her. and i have a miller wirefeed and a miller bobcat so im set on welders lol. i have a 1948 ford f1 im putting a 350 at the momenti i got pretty good at welding body pieces from that project. but even the truck doesnt have rust like this and its 22 years older lol.

I'm holding out for pics. I'd hate to see an early 2nd gen scrapped, but some cars just aren't worth the effort and money to save. This may be one of them.
