Just wondering if a set of 97 Camaro rims would fit on my 80??

saw a set with new tires for $250 they are 16's

Yes, they should have the same bolt pattern.

I don't think you're gonna get them on without using spacer/adapters. The 97 wheels have about 5.25~5.5" of backspacing. You can measure your wheels against that to see how much more room you have behind your tires now.

It is not recommend to use a different backspacing than your car was designed to use, it puts an undesigned stress on the wheel bearings. The bigger the change the bigger the stress and premature wear.

It also is not a good idea to use spacers with drum brakes, or so I have been told from various wheel shops.

I was thinking on the back spacing. It OK anyways the guy sold them before i could go look at them.

Thanks for the help tho

An inch or so difference in backspacing wont creat bearing problems like moving outward does. The farther you go out with spacing, the more pressure you put on your bearings. I have a ton of extra spacing outward, and used to have bearing issues until I moved my bearing location outward into the drum area.
