hey guys,
I have a 1977 camaro and wanted to put bigger tires on it. I have 14's right now and was told to get 15x8 in the front, and 15x10 in the rear for 235/60/15 in the front and 276x60/15 in the rear. I actually have 215/70/14 in the front, will i be able to tell a big difference? does anyone recomend a site for wheels? and does anyone know the spacing I will need to line the wheels up with the axle? this is the look i was going for.

Click on the "specs" link for each tire to get the complete breakdown. They are recommending anywhere from 7"-9.5". You'll also want to do some measuring and backspace calculation (especially if you go with the wider wheels) to make sure the wheels/tires will clear the fender lips, your leaf springs, and inner fender wells. IMO, between 8"-9" is more than wide enough.

I agree with camaro 69.. Ive got 7" 225 60 15s on front, and 8" 245 60 15s in back, both w/4.25 backspace which fit perfectly. Any bigger up front and theyd rub either turning or hitting bumps, and rear clear the leaf springs with about 2 inches to spare. Also, If you drive "aggressively" the tires may move inward and hit the springs if you fishtail alot. Just a few things to think about...
