what gas to put in my 81 camaro?

i got my 81 camaro with a 350 like 3 weeks ago. the person i got it from said they didnt know for sure if it took regular or premium. do you guys know?

Main thing is the compression. Thats when you start getting the spark knock is high comp with low octane. If your not hearing any spark knock your fine i think. The cam won't do to much cause my dads 69 camaro has a REALLY wild cam but has dart 64cc heads and flat tops so around 11.5 to 1 compression and it runs fine on pump gas and like i said that car is pretty nasty. Also my trans am ran ok on 87 octane but when i would go to race i would fill it with 93. Not sure that it even did much though. I think you would be fine with 87 octane my opinion

Yep thats what i did. On my way around driving normal and back and forth to school i just put 87 in my 95 T/A it ran great that even had 11:1 compression but aluminum heads which run cooler and don't need as high of octane. But when i went to the drags i would put in the 93 or something just to give a little extra. If you go to high in octane it actually hurts it in performance if you don't have high compression etc.
