I have a 1977 Camaro LT and I have a plug deal that I have zero clue what it goes to! I have attached a picture. It's a Chevy 350 engine, no A/C or heater. This is in the engine bay.

It plugs into a loom at the firewall and is a black wire.

Does the car have an oil gage? It looks to me lit the wire to the oil sending unit. Maybe the oil light?

Yes I can see this from home. Work IT is real strict. We are allowed to surf at lunch times and breaks but apparently they control what we can see.

 

That's what I thought too,can't think of anything else.
My '75 Nova V8 had an oil light sending unit behind the dist. on the back of the motor.
