Put on a new fan clutch, the other one was leaking at the shaft.

Spent the day at a cruise at our church Sat., then cleaned it up for a cruise today of the local NECA chapter. Rained part of the way there, but turned out to be gorgeous the rest the day. It will clean up, but I'm glad I used Rain-X with no wipers on the Camaro!

Thats not a bad idea at all there...I was trying to think of a way to get around not having wipers on the car because I don't have them either....Rain-X it is, I was always worried about getting caught in the rain with the car and such a simple thing never crossed my mind!!!

i got my new cragar ss wheel with custom backspacing so it will tuck my big 26x12 tires in the fenders..So i cant wait to put them on and get my camaro back on the road again I'm planning on getting some MT S/R 28x12 back tires hopefully soon especially if i can find some used ones with good tread but for now i'll just use my BFG 26x12's

but Vall, I also used Rain-x on my camaro when i drove it everyday and I use it on all my cars too, its good stuff

I'd be more worried about 600+ ft lbs in the rain.

Believe me that was also a major concern even with less HP and torque! My wife was with me and she's not fond of slip sliding around as much as I am, so we got passd by every little rice rocket on the freeway up to the mountains where the resort is.
Those big old MT 13" wide tires don't get much grip on wet roads, and I was going about 40-45 mph in the slow lane all through the rain. But the windshield was nice and clear! That Rain-X just beads the rain up and sheds it great!

Went back at the Austin project tonight. Tore off both rear fenders to clean and remove the old welting between body and fenders. Of course after over 60 years the bolts were either rusted solid, or just spun and wouldn't back out. About half of them were inaccessable from the inside of the car, so I had to break some and cut the others off with my die grinder.
After 4-5 hrs. I got them off, then cleaned the inside and gave it a fresh coat of paint to seal it up.
Tomorrow I'll try to get the fender side cleaned and prepped to make it ready to reinstall once the rearend work is complete.

Good point lol....i've never actually got caught out in the rain as I said so that didn't cross my mind either but the car is a 4 speed and the driveability of the car is really good even with that much hp so i think I'd be ok as long as my foot didn't get itchy

I hear this too...I have MT 33x21.5's and they're about 17 inches wide.....I don't think I would get very much traction either and I'd probably be going a heck of a lot slower than 40-45 mph and getting passed by everything too
