Yeah I can barely remember the 30's. let alone 20's!
Pretty cold here today. (just above freezing) but I did get out and take care of a few little things on the Austin. I picked up a pair of 12.50"-29-15 MT Sportsman tires from a friend earlier this fall and needed a little more clearance on the inside to run them.
I got the wheels off today and installed my bolt on spacers to the axle, then remounted the old wheels to check clearances. I've got enough clearance now that when I go with the MT's I'll still have a good inch inside the wheelwells. Before the spacers I had just under 1/2" and I actually had to change the body bolts to round head allens because I was afraid I might eat up the inner sidewall of the previous tires. They were 10" tread, but the design made them about 11.5" overall on the sidewalls. The MT Sportsmans are more squared off design and on my 9" rims they'll have a nice flat sidewall.

Today!!!!! You want to know about today!!!!! KICKING THE TIRES AN SCREAMING!!

I found out my engine is going to take 16.7 hours in a shop to replace my 3.8 in my 99RS. Well that's great to the guy making the $918.50 in labor costs, but I'll just have it sit till I can find a more resonable price.......is this the going rate for the series 2 V6 replacement. The engine is going to be mininmum $850.00 (no warranty) up to $1,300 (12 month warranty) to just get the engine. Well there will pics up for you to look @ and let me know what you think about the subject as soon as this site lets me post them.

I'm just bummed out since I just spent a grand on fly wheel being turned, complete clutch kit, slave cyl, clutch master cyl, 2 welds to stock exhaust, 1 caliper & hanger, pads all around, front rotors, drivers side tie rod, and a battery! The only thing that has me positive about the situation is I only paid $800.00 for it. I also need a fender to make this car look right. Please look @ my page and hit me up with some wisdom and serinaty

OOORRR... you could spend $100 bucks on some hand tools and another $200 on a descent jack and stands and do it yourself. It comes out the bottom.

O! Also I found a 96 today for 700.00 or best offer. The guy has it scheduled for junk yard pick up on Friday....I was bummed to find out the engine wouldnt fit in my car....intake and several other parts are not useable with the 99-02 V6. I was devastated because I think the guy would take 300.00 for the car. He has no title to it an can't drive it. He said it needs an ECU.... know anyone in KY looking for a deak in the next few days???
