I took my youngest son(21 yo) out for a drive. Between a double 360 and a couple burn-outs we must have left at least 3,000 miles of rubber on the county road.

As Camaro69 said, that's an Anglia, but my 46 Austin is very similar. And that's the look I'm going for when it's done too. Only real difference on the Austin is a more vertical grille and horizontal bars.
My rear tires hang out about 2"-3" with the narowed 10 bolt. I'm trying to find a narrow enough front axle without having to have one custom built. Narrowest one Speedway sells is 52" face to face on the rotors, and my front sheetmetal is 55" wide. That would mean a 3" wheel with 50-50 backspacing would work, but I'd like a bit wider for street use. I have a pair of 5" ET slots and wanted to use those if possible.

Opps, I thought yours was an Anglia to begin with. So now that I see them side by side they really do look alike. I would offer up some spring perches for you but if I do rip the rear end out of the 78, I don't know if the junk yard will be able to get it on the roll back. If you guys have any ides on how to keep it safely in the air on dirt and still get it out of here with out a torch let me in on it. No front or rear suspention would make one heck of a gouge in my dads yard.

With all that being said, Vall if I can figure this out you can have the perches for shipping.

Thanks Damon, but I need spring plates, not perches. I found perches at the trailer supply locally. I'm headed out to a wrecking yard today to get some Camaro or Nova spring plates, so hopefully I'll get the rearend under the Austin this morning!

Cool, I'm meant plates. Dunno why my mind was on perch. Mmm perch. I'm supposed to be up North camping and fishing with my dad, but the little woman needs a me to keep an eye on the kids for the yardsale. I'm bummed. Last day of my vacation too.
