I finished getting the dash out of the car on Friday and ordered the Vintage Air Sure Fit heater and AC system on Saturday. Now I have to wait patiently until it gets here! I've started to remove the nose parts so that I can pull the fenders and inner tubs so that I can get the old AC/heater out. It'll be great to get that old AC mess out of the engine compartment, it's just plain ugly. I'm going to finish pulling the engine too.

Well, we didn't have any plans on changing anything on the car, just redid the fuel line from the cell to the pump, changed oil on the car, went to run it to circulate the oil a bit, and the damned starter started acting up. wouldn't engage the flexplate. Crawled under the car and the drive gear on the MSD starter is chewed up. Had to order another drive gear cluster from Summit, boy, they ain't cheap. Total plus shipping was $99.99. I got to find another hobby. Will keep you posted. The weather is getting better now the car won't run, If it ain't one thing, its another. Lol. Bob

I was about to start welding in the repair panels and found I was out of argon/CO2! Go figure. I'll get that filled today I hope. I've also decided to smooth the firewall some by welding in panels to close off where the heater/ac and fan used to be. I don't need them with the Vintage Air setup. They give you screw in and bolt in covers but I think the sheet metal welded in will be much better looking.

Started the cutting process on my rust floor pan replacement panels. I have the rear passenger side floor pan cut to size and almost ready to weld in. Slow going to get it cut to fit but it has to be done. I want to get the fronts done tomorrow then the panel under the passenger side rear seat.

Also wetsanded the nose and rear spoiler.

Thanks for the pics! I often wondered how he and the Camaro are doing! Give him my best, and the Camaro looks fantastic! Hope we get to see more pics as it progresses!-Vall

I went to the Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio and found some headliner trim pieces that I needed.....The show was great, the drags were fantastic and the weather was hot!

Thanks Vall. I feel bad it took so long to complete but I am very pleased how it has come out.

Put a new fuel pump in (again) and had to run to autozone 4 times to get the fittings right. Now its just a matter of putting in my new Flowmaster tail pipes.

Continued welding in floor pans and sheet metal under the rear seat today. Slow hot job for sure! I found a couple more areas needing new metal but thankfully they're small.
