Today I went out and was going to move the camaro off the lift. I may add that the car hasnt been started or ran in about two weeks. I notice the starter has been acting funny, it has been staying engaged after turning the key even if the car doesnt start up. So all we do is pull the terimals off the battery. So today car started acting up, so I pulled the termials off, car stopped then replaced them back on the battery. Pumped the gas on the carb. and voom the car started up by its self, no driver. Talking about wild, huh.

 

DAM, i wouldnt want to be doing any work near the flywheel with that starter hooked up!!

 

sounds like the starter sol. is stuck

 

Its all good everyone. The 327 will be back this week so the old motor and trans is coming out. All the wiring is coming out too.

 

Try to use a different starter, the one you are using is stuck on, and will actually turn into a porcupine if you rev up the engine with the starter still engaged.
