Default Trying to name a sensor

I have a 1980 camaro z28 305 v8. Mice have eaten sensor wires that is placed between the 6th and 8th spark plug. It is not the oil pressure or temperature sensor they have been identified. What is this sensor?

Towards the middle of the picture there is a metal bracket connected to the vacuum module with two spark plugs and a sensor in the middle. The sensor has two wires attached which are black and yellow and disappear into the wiring harness. The sensor is directly next to the oil dip stick. All of this is located on the back of the block passenger side

I did not have time to look anything up but that sounds like the temp sensor for the dummy light. It should not be too hard to find a wiring layout on the Google.

a picture would help .Also get a Chilton's manual for your car. There are wiring diagrams in there
