Trying to find info on my 73
Last summer, I bought my first classic car. It's a 1973 Camaro, and I've been wanting to find as much info about it as I can. I've found some by doing a basic vin search, but I want to try to find some pictures or original paperwork for my car from the original owners when it was new. Would anyone here be able to help me with that?

With all the privacy laws now it makes tracking down previous owners almost impossible. Papa Johns owner even had the vin number to his old car and it took a $200,000 reward and a year to track down the current owner. That was something that was a simple DMV call 20 years ago. Chance that the original owner is still alive is low, chances he has anything from a car he may have sold 40 years ago are about as close to zero as you can get.
If the car is all original there could be a build sheet under the rear seat or on top of the gas tank.

Unfortunately you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning and winning the lottery on the same day but good luck with your search.
Sometimes the original build sheet can be found under or somewhere in the back seat, even that would be a slim chance stroke of luck to find in a car that's over 40 years old.
