transmission hachie machie!!!!
ok, heres the deal. i put a new 350 motor in my car. as many of you know it took me for ever and i asked 500000 questions!!!!! so hopefully this will be the last one. i went to back the car out of the garage, and i noticed it kind of rolled back a little bit when i removed the wheel chalk i had. i didnt think anything of it. i backed it out of my garage and left it there the remainder of the day. i went to put the car back in the garage at night. and when i put it in park it sounded like it shifted into park but when i took my foot off the brake it rolled back, and made a tick noise sounding like it was trying to enguage itself back into park but it was not. i have no idea whats the deal is. but if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

It sounds like the park pawl is not engaging. Check to make sure your shift linkage is moving far enough to place trans in park. Remove the shift linkage place trans in park by hand, see if you can move the drive shaft .If it still does not work the good news is you do not need to remove the whole trans, you can access it by taking off the pan. It is on the drivers side connected to the shift lever and runs to the rear of the tranny. A round rod about 12 inches long.
