Default Trans Out for Rebuild

Me and my dad took my trans out today, and next week we will be rebuilding it with the help of another mechanic (my dad is one himself). Anyhow, it is a 350 trans, and I was curious if its pretty reliable?

When built right that is a 100,000 mile plus tranny... the harder you push it the cooler you will want to keep it... heat is the enemy of all transmissions. keep it cool and ceek the fluid and filter changed every couple of years. I think they are on of the best trannies ever built.
