Default torque converter question..

Hey guys i was at the local speed shop looking for a 3000 stall b&m converter and the guy who runs the shop ask me if my had a lockup converter since its a stock 81 camaro. I have no idea if it dose, is there anyway to find out if has a lockup or not?

Scroll down and look at the pans in the link. If you have #5 or #6, it's a lockup.

If it is the original transmission still in the car, then yes you have a lockup converter.81 was the first year they put them in,the pan will match the th350 pan,but the trans in the 81 is a th350C,which i think is basically the same trans with just a few minor differences inside, but it does have the lockup converter
