69's are beautiful cars, and when people think of these cars, they think expensive. You really can't make a nice 69' and put small rims on it anymore. I would seriously suggest some 17-18 combo (17 front, 18 rear). Personally I like the new cragar SS redesign, but other more "futuristic" rims would go really nice. The old school rims were nice in the past, but its been done so many times before. It all really depends on personal preference really. On the rear, I don't really know my 1st gens, but I am sure you could fit a nice 275/30/18 on the rear, and a 235/30/17 on the front? Again tires are a preference, personally I like the Eagle F1 tires, but they are a little more expensive for realistic cruize/driving. On tirerack.com you can choose your car and mount rims / tires on it online to show what they look like. Perhaps you could photoshop your rims on, because I don't think tirerack goes as far back as a 69'. Well, good luck in your search for rims/tires!

You didnt mention if your 69 is lowered. Also what i would do is look around find a 69 that has the wheel and tire size you like then you look for the style wheel you like in that particular size. What kind a look do you want? 30 series tires on 17's or 18's are way too low i wouldnt recommend you'll get a big gap between fender and tire.

Personally I think anything bigger than a 17 on an old car looks dumb. I like 17's and there are a ton of choices for tires out there. Just remember the hude wheel thing will probabaly be out of style in a couple of years.
